Ghosting
Applications disappear after submission or interviews, leaving candidates without closure, useful feedback, or any indication that a real decision was made.
Job seekers and employers are trapped in an escalating cycle of automated filtering, mass-generated applications, ghosting, misleading postings, and repetitive forms.
The result is more noise, less trust, and fewer meaningful connections between qualified people and organizations that need their help.
We currently plan to fund the core placement service through employer/business fees rather than candidate placement fees. Final terms will be disclosed before launch.
Research question / 01
Both sides are spending more time sorting, filtering, repeating, and guessing. Legitimate candidates are buried alongside stale listings and synthetic applications.
Applications disappear after submission or interviews, leaving candidates without closure, useful feedback, or any indication that a real decision was made.
Automated filters can reject strong candidates before human review, especially when relevant experience uses different keywords, titles, or credentials than the system expects.
Fake, stale, duplicated, or misleading postings consume time and distort the apparent job market, sending candidates through applications for roles that may not exist.
Candidates repeatedly re-enter information already contained in their résumé, rebuild profiles across incompatible portals, and complete assessments before any meaningful human review.
Mass-produced applications make authentic evidence harder to find. AI can mimic polished competence at scale, while legitimate work is increasingly dismissed as generated, weakening trust on both sides.
Employers struggle to distinguish demonstrated skill from polished fiction when résumés, portfolios, and interview responses can all be optimized or generated.
Layers of platforms, recruiters, screening rules, and incomplete job descriptions prevent qualified people and real decision-makers from recognizing otherwise strong matches.
Job-specific résumé optimization can suppress strengths a posting did not anticipate. The document may match ATS keywords while representing the candidate less accurately.
