Survival Soup
An experiment in genetic algorithms. Each organism carries a genome that recombines and mutates as it breeds, so distinct lineages emerge on their own. The audio is data sonification: population, crowding, kill rate, births, deaths and a selected organism’s energy and swim strokes are rendered as sound, synthesized live through the Web Audio API with no samples. React and CSS, bundled by esbuild into a single self-contained HTML page.
